An exciting featherweight scrap has been added to the UFC’s fall schedule.
Multiple people with knowledge of the promotion’s plans confirmed to MMA Fighting that a fight between Bryce Mitchell and Andre Fili will take place at the UFC’s event on Oct. 31. The fight card’s location has yet to be determined. MMA Junkie was first to report the booking.
Mitchell has won all four of his promotional bouts since coming off season 27 of The Ultimate Fighter. “Thug Nasty” picked up decision wins over Tyler Diamond and Bobby Moffett before really turning heads with his most recent appearances. The 25-year-old pulled off the second twister submission in promotional history of Matt Sayles in December before picking up a dominant unanimous decision over Charles Rosa at UFC 249.
Fili enters the fight winning three of four, including a split decision nod in his most recent appearance over Charles Jourdain in June. “Touchy” is set to make the walk to the octagon for the 16th time and holds wins over the likes of Artem Lobov, Myles Jury and Dennis Berumudez.
The UFC’s Oct. 31 event also features a middleweight bout between former champion Anderson Silva taking on Uriah Hall.
